We left Montreal, re-entered the good old USA and headed for Maine. We made many, many stops along the way though and didn't get to our hotel until 9:00 tonight. We went through Vermont...
We had an early lunch in Burlington, Vermont where we found this place...
...and had MORE crepes! We got to sit and watch them make them. Grace thought that was really cool and has requested that she and I learn how to do it when we get home!
The scenery the entire drive today was just beautiful...
Our next stop was Waterbury, Vermont...the home of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream!
We toured the factory and learned how the ice cream is made and then we got to sample one of the new flavors...One Cheesecake Brownie. It was really good. Thomas wants everyone to know that it's his new favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor.

...and one incredible view....
Our next stop was a Maple Sugar Farm. Here we learned how they tap the trees and boil down the sap into maple sugar. We had a maple sugar soda (gross!!!) and maple sugar kettle corn (great!). It was a nice place to rest for a bit and stretch our legs. They had swings...
Funny tree trunks that looked like animals...They also had this...
...it's a replica of the Vermont State House. They thought this was the coolest. They also had the great idea that Papaw should have one of the Texas Capitol built in his backyard for them to play in!! Here is a picture of the real one in Montpelier, VT....
It was dark when we arrived in Kenneybunkport, but what we could see of the town looks AWESOME!! It's a very upscale, quaint little coastal town. I'll get pictures of the place we are staying tomorrow. We are literally right on the water at the marina. Our patio door opens up to the water and there is a million dollar yacht about 50 yards from our patio.
We are spending tonight and tomorrow night here. Tomorrow we are going to drive around and explore!
Blessings,
Leslie
