Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!
Mandy was in her costume by 4:15 this afternoon, because she simply couldn't wait any longer!! They all had a great time as usual, and we have no shortage of candy at our house! Thomas and Grace both went as vampires this year, but Mandy thought that was too scary, so she chose Cinderella. So, we had the Prince and Princess of Darkness and Princess Cinderella!!

Thomas had a good time standing in the coffin on the front porch and scaring our family and neighbors!

When I Grow Up...

For Halloween, today at school was Career Dress Up day. They had to come as a community helper that they might want to be when they grow up. Grace went as a doctor!

Halloween Fun

Last weekend Scott and the kids made a coffin. Yes, a coffin. I said I wanted something big and spooky in the front yard for Halloween.... We are all going to be vampires, and Thomas is really into the spooky part of Halloween this year, so he had the idea that he could stand in the coffin on our front porch and hand out the candy. We had some friends over last night and he stood on the front porch and welcomed them, with "Good Evening" in his best Transylvainian accent!

Creepy huh??!!

King for a day!

Thomas's class held it's annual 2nd Grade Fairytale Tea last week. They do a big unit on fairytales and end it by dressing as a character. They have a parade thru the school, all the other classes get to watch and then the big finish is the tea (muffins and fruit) in the cafeteria.
Thomas choose to be a king. Gigi made his robe and he wore his tuxedo underneath. On the rubric that his teacher sent home she wrote that when she asked him why he chose to be a king, he replied, "I've always wanted to be royal." :)

Last Weekend...

I know it's been forever since I've added anything new!! All of your complaints have been logged with the complaint department and here you go....

Last weekend after soccer, we meet Scott's friend Cheryl and her kids Wyatt and Whitney for lunch. Afterwards we headed to the pumpkin patch. The kids all had a great time picking pumpkins and having their faces painted.
We took our pumpkins home and got to work. They all enjoy the carving part, they just don't want to have to do the slimy part that comes first!

Blessings,

Leslie
