This morning we went to Vail Village. It's so cute and has tons of shops and restaurants.
We had lunch at a great pizza place. The young woman who was our hostess was precious! She was in Vail doing mission work this summer with Campus Crusader's from California Poly Tech. We visited with her off and on during our lunch. She talked to the kids about what Cru is and why it's important to be a part of it, and what their work is in Vail this summer.
We did lots of shopping.
Took our shoes off and played in the fountains...
And in the creek...
We were in a t-shirt store when this young man approached Caroline and asked her out! Note Scott in the background giving him "the look."
They chatted for a little while until we decided it was time to head back to the hotel for some swimming. The kids were freaking out that she was talking to a boy! I will say that today might be the first time in my life that I am glad I'm an only child. Had no idea how siblings reacted to one of them being pursued/dating etc. They were relentless.. Mandy kept saying they were "in loooove."
On the way back Scott tortured the kids by pretending to get stuck in one of the roundabouts....went around 5 times!
Swimming at the resort pool...
Then at 6 they made smore's in the firepit by the pool...
Afterwards we ordered in dinner and they went back and forth to the hot tub that is just outside our patio door. Everyone showered and we are now all in bed watching a movie. Tomorrow morning we will check out and head to Colorado Springs!
Blessings from Vail,
Leslie
