Beach Day 2!

Phase one of our group headed down to the beach about 8:45 this morning.  Scott set up the tent and then until 4:00 all or part of us were there!

Stacy and I were going to go to WalMart before we headed to the beach.  Brad drove us and we noticed that as soon as we got over the bridge to Port Isabel that the traffic lights were out and that police officers were directing traffic.  We pulled in the parking lot and were excited because it wasn't crowded.  We get to the doors and there are people waiting to get in.  The power was out and their registers were not working.  We drove over to HEB next door and they were without power too, but their registers were working.  Strangest grocery shopping I've ever done!  They had these pull down "shades" over all the cold food cases...
Brad worked as a bag boy for a bit!

All the kids played crazy hard today!

Worn out and taking a rest...
Mermaid Grace...
The girls had all made these little Stonehenge looking things with wet sand all around the hole.  Monte ever so slyly sat down and kicked or smashed all the little towers!  Total boy!
Luke wasn't afraid at all of the ghost shrimp that Thomas caught....
Luke thought that getting buried in the sand looked like fun, but just couldn't quite bring himself to let them cover him in sand!
He'd lay down, but the second we tried to put sand on him he was out of there!
We had dinner at Dirty Al's, a yearly tradition and headed back to the condo.  Some took a night swim, but some of us just relaxed around in our jammies.  Can't wait to see what brand of lazy and laying on the beach tomorrow brings!

Beach Blessings,
Leslie
