Beach Day 1

 Yesterday we drove to San Marcos so that today's drive wouldn't be so long.  We stayed the night at the Embassy Suites with the Scamperino's.  Mandy got a super sweet wake up this morning from the boys...

They were patting her back and telling her "time to wake up Mandy go to beach today."  Kendall and Caroline had spent the night with their sister Kaitlyn...who got ENGAGED while they were at dinner last night!!!  She brought them to us at the hotel this morning and we got to see "the ring!"

 While we chicks were all fussing over the ring and getting the proposal details, the guys were much more subdued in their conversation of the event...

 So precious!!! 

Hadn't been on the road 15 minutes when we found the New Braunfels Buc-ees!  

After our recent road trip, I'm totally a Buc-ees believer!  30+ uber-clean restrooms and a Texas sized convenience store is road tripper heaven.

Wasn't sure how our 2 newest road trippers would like the long car ride, but they did awesome!

No one could wait to hit the beach.  They were in their suits just as soon as they could find them...

And, then the pool...

Looking at this picture, I can not believe our first summer here they were 4 and 2!

Then, from the pool, back to the beach for a little night time crab hunting...

The beauty of this trip, is that days 2-7 will be some variation of the same!  I will post pics each day though and fill you in on the craziness that is our big group/family!!
