We let everyone sleep until they woke up this morning. Guess which two sleeping princesses were the last to rise? These two certainly like their sleep!
Not long after we woke up Scott was sitting on the porch of our cabin when I heard him talking to someone. Not unusual, however, these were voices from HOME!! Robbie, Janice and Ben Robinson are here too and they stopped by to see us!!! We had so much fun visiting with them and getting their advice on what to see and do while we are here, that I completely forgot to take a picture of all of us. :( Hopefully we will see them again before we leave. They have been friends of my family/our family since I was in 3rd grade. They have blessed our family in countless ways over the years and it was so nice to sit on the porch here in beautiful Wyoming and catch up.
We had told the kids that we would try to stay out of the car today. In fact, we never even started it! The girls spent quite some time on hair styling this morning...
The wanded each others hair. I will say that the finished product was super cute!
The hot tub turned out to be a little too hot, so they went to the park in front of our cabin and played volleyball....
Thomas felt the need to show off his hair too!
We then walked just a couple of blocks from our cabin to downtown. An awesome Main Street type square with a park in the middle. The kids liked the entrances to the park....
It's hilarious to watch people's faces when they are trying to figure out if they are all ours! Especially when they dress alike or do their hair alike. People ask all kinds of questions! We found this sign in one of the stores today..."Welcome to the Nut House." Totally applies.
We shopped in all the little shops. Then, they wanted to go back to the cabin and hang out. So, we did. About dinner time Scott asked them where they wanted to go for dinner. They brought him the Domino's menu and asked if we could have pizza delivered and then go to the hot tub! So that's what we did.
The hot tub turned out to be a little too hot, so they went to the park in front of our cabin and played volleyball....
And, catch...
And, played on the swing set..
And, generally acted like kids on summer vacation!
It was nice to slow the pace for the day and watch them just enjoy being together.
I saw this sign in a store today and I loved it. I see sweet signs with sayings all the time, but I loved the honesty of this one...
People often ask if get along well the entire time on these long road trips and the answer is, of course, no not all the time, but we sure do try. And, building in breaks like this to let everyone decompress helps keep us all "happy travelers!"
Blessings from Jackson Hole,
Leslie
