Whew! We spent today at the Magic Kingdom. After breakfast we took the Disney bus to see "Cinarulla's Castle." The picture above is her face as she saw it for the first time.
We watched the show at the castle from the bridge by the Crystal Palace and the girls were super excited to see all the characters. The weather here was about 80 degrees today, but felt much warmer. Several times I was wishing I'd brought shorts!
We rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin's Magic Carpet, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's flight, OH... and of course It's a Small World. As we were waiting in line the 10 year old boy in front of us threw up. Yes, threw up. He told his mother he was going to and she said to him, "Don't you dare throw up. Take deep breaths" she did not move, did not direct him toward a trash can, nothing. Then she acted so shocked when he threw up all over the people in front of them. I'm somewhat of a germaphobe anyway, this made my skin crawl for the rest of the day. I practically bathed the girls in hand gel afterwards!
After all that excitement we then headed to the Crystal Palace for a late lunch where we met Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. It's a good thing that Mandy was free, because she didn't eat a single bite. She was so excited about all the characters that this was how she sat pretty much the entire meal.
We headed back to the hotel after that at napped from about 4-6! All of us napped. We came back to the Magic Kingdom around 7 for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This was really awesome this year. I think this is the 4th time we've been? Anyway, this year was great. Lots of characters, shows, and added benefits. The castle was the best part. They have it lit in all these tiny silver lights....VERY magical.
We ate first and then headed straight for Toontown to see Cinderella. This was worth the cost of the entire trip. Mandy was absolutely beside herself with excitement. There was only about a 10 minute wait (that's NO wait in Disney time!). We saw Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip first.
They were pretty cool and very nice, but the real excitement was for Cinderella. I snapped this picture as Mandy was waiting her turn to meet her.
She literally skipped out of the tent! We then did a little shopping in the gift shop that we were convienently dumped into and Grace bought this hat. I mean seriously....what Texas princess doesn't need a hat like that?!!
We rode the Barnstormer, and Mandy hated it. Cried during the whole thing. She cried during Pirates, Haunted Mansion (understandable, though the other two never did) and during Peter Pan. She's not really into the rides. They are either "too dark and scary" or too loud. So, after the Barnstormer we toured Mickey and Minnies houses and she had a blast.
Later we rode Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear, which she tolerated...I won't go so far as to say enjoyed!
Grace however, did enjoy the rides. Since the crowds were so light we rode pretty much everything we had on our list to ride at the Magic Kingdom.
She in no way needed to be wearing this hat given the extremely warm weather here, but it was just so darn cute!

I took this after their baths. They are in the bed playing with the Polly Pocket type Cinderella and Tinker Bell dolls mom bought them. It was 1:00 a.m! Anyway, everyone is asleep now, and I'm headed there too! Tomorrow we are going to Epcot.....not early.
Blessings,
Leslie

AAAHHH! I'm so completely jealous it's not funny!
I'm glad the party was fun, I had seen it was sold out and was worried for you guys. What do you think of CBR? It was too spread out for us, the lobby separate from the other areas irked me. ;) Gorgeous grounds though for sure.
The Crystal Palace breakfast is one of my favorites...that breakfast lasagna is to die for - and probably clogs my arteries a little more each time.
Anyway, hope you guys are having fun at Epcot, can't wait to see pics!
