We spent another day on the campaign trail! This time we dressed in our "Re-elect Thomas Latham" shirts and headed to the community center where early voting is taking place. The kids made a big poster and they waved it and their campaign signs at the voters as they entered the parking lot. Mandy would yell, "Vote for Papaw!"
It was fun, the only bad part was that we had to stand next to the opponents wife, who came over and told us not to stand there as we were blocking her husbands sign. Nice people. I thought we were probably doing his campaign a favor by sparing the voters the 3 foot picture of him that accosts them as they turn in the driveway. Oh well.
The kids had no idea who she was and kids being kids and Grace being Grace, she says as she stands next to one of the opponents signs, "I don't like this sign. He's not a guy of good character!" Let's hear it for character education in school!!
Just a quick reminder to all of you out there reading this....VOTE!!
Early voting began Tuesday and will go until next Friday. Election day is Tuesday, March 4!
Blessings,
Leslie
