I'm kinda new to the whole video clips on the blog thing, but I'm trying to branch out!

Last night was awards night for Grace's church basketball league. Each team gets to run in and they put them on the big Jumbotron. The video is my attempt to capture this moment in time. She has really enjoyed basketball.

Night before last we went to the kick off for Read to Feed at the kids school. The kids are getting pledges for the number of books they read from now to April to raise money for Heiffer International. If your not familiar with this great organization check them out...www.heifer.org
The goal for Grace's first grade class is 5 flocks of chickens and 5 flocks of ducks. If you'd like to pledge just let me know...the going rate seems to be 25 cents a book!

During the kickoff we had the book fair, sixth graders sharing their projects on the countries that heifer international aids and the counselor, principal, a guest author read stories in different classrooms. Mandy really enjoyed listening to the stories. Thomas taught her how to sit cross-legged (we used to call that Indian style, but we can't do that anymore), she was so proud of herself for sitting like the big kids!

Thomas and Grace liked the book fair best. Of course, they are born shoppers and I'm a sucker for kids begging for books!!
