...and more campaigning!

Today was Family Fun Day for the Latham Campaign. An amazing volunteer organized an unbelieveable event at City Lake Park. We had hot dogs, face painting, balloon animals, rock climbing, games, rides...all courtesy of the Latham Campaign. We had at least 400 people. It was awesome! Of course the kids were in heaven...

This was an extremely popular attraction. They had colored wax that you dipped your hand in and made a mold of your hand.
Grace did her hand in pink, of course. Thomas dipped his in all the colors which came out in this putrid brownish yellow color. The bubbles in the wax made it look like it had boils and warts on it. Which to his 8 year old boy self was the coolest thing ever!
They also had this thing which I believe they call a "gyrosphere." Although I had many requests that I give this a whirl, I chose to stay off of it. In my younger days I would have, but with my recent acid reflux and stomach trouble I didn't think it would be pretty. The picture above is a former colleague of mine!
Of course, it was also a great day for the candidate! He shook hands and met families. We got endorsements and gave away lots of yard signs. As you can tell from the pics of the kids we had tshirs made at Cafepress.com with the campaign sign on it. When we asked Mandy what her shirt said she replied, "Vote Papaw!"

Blessings,
Leslie
