Disneyland

First off I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who have left comments either here on the blog, or by email! I can't tell you how much the kids enjoy them, and look forward to reading them everyday. Keep'em coming!!

Ok...so we did Disneyland today. We slept in, had a nice breakfast at the hotel and then headed over to the park around 10:00. After waiting in a line to have our bags checked, a line to buy tickets, a line to get into the park and a line to rent a stroller....we were off!! Scott was the only one of us who had been to Disneyland before and the rest of us took off toward Main Street in a hurry to see Sleeping Beauty's castle. We stopped short when we saw it....it's SO much smaller than the one at WDW. We were all a little underwhelmed and if I were Sleeping Beauty, I'd be ticked and demanding to speak to someone in charge of castles!

After that we spent the day riding rides and eating! Mandy was able to ride most of the rides with us today. We took her on Dumbo first and she loved it!

Next we went on Pirates of the Caribbean. I was amazed at how much better and longer the ride was than at Disneyworld. I didn't go on it, but Scott said that Buzz Lightyear was the same way. Anyway, Mndy was a little scared because it was so dark, but she soon got over it and for the rest of the day would ask,"What's the pirate say?" and answer herself by singing," Yo, ho, ho, ho pirates life me!" She also liked "Its a Small World." Now the Matterhorn was a different story! It was a pretty fast ride and had the abominable snowman growling at us the whole way. On that one, she said,"I get off this ride." The last two rides we took her on were Snow White and Pinocchio. Both were dark, loud and sinister..after the last one she looked at me and said,"No more rides" so she and I went and wandered around Main Street (where she fell asleep in the stroller) while Scott took Thomas and Grace to ride the Matterhorn and Space Mountain.

They love the face painting at Disney, so they all three had their faces painted today....

This was Autopia where they get to drive cars. According to Grace, Thomas drove off the track!

We only saw two characters all day. Fortunately, they were The two. Mandy just loved "Mimmie Mouse!"

And now for the BEST, FUNNIEST picture of the day.......Scott BUSTED sleeping on the "It's a Small World" ride!! The flash of the camera woke him up and the first thing he said was," Great, that's going on the blog isn't it?"!!!!! OH YEAH!!

We are all a little tired as you can tell from the picture above, but we had a really fun day. Tomorrow we are headed to Universal Studios.
