Yes...We are doing it again!

It sounds crazy I know, but, the rumors are true!  The Milder's are headed off on another Extreme Road Trip.

2 Adults
3 Kids
28 Days.
6, 407 miles.

Yes.  We are the Griswolds.  And, yes, we are most likely just a wee bit crazy.  But, we actually do enjoy it.  Our goal was to have been to all 50 states before Thomas turned 18 and graduated from high school.  We've been to 41, so we are headed north and then west to check off a few more!

This summer's ambitious agenda is:

June 22: Depart Rockwall

June 22:  Topeka, Kansas
June 23:  Omaha, Nebraska
June 24:  Des Moines, Iowa
June 25:  Minneapolis, Minnesota
June 26:  Bismarck, North Dakota
June 27-29:  Rapid City, South Dakota
June 30: Billings, Montana
July 1:  Helena, Montana
July 2-3:  Martin City, Montana: Glacier National Park
July 4-5: Vancouver, BC
July 6-8:  Seattle, Washington
July 9: Tacoma, Washington
July 10-11: Portland, Oregon
July 12:  Boise, Idaho
July 13: Idaho Falls, Idaho
July 14-18: Jackson Hole, Wyoming: Yellowstone National Park
July 19: Estes Park, Colorado
July 20-21:  Colorado Springs, Colorado
July 22:  Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
July 23:  Rockwall, Texas!!

We plan to leave on Saturday morning.  We have a house sitter, plant waterer, dog babysitter and mail picker upper lined up.  Now I just have to pack us all!  Piece of cake.  Yeah, right.

My afternoons after serving at Kids Games this week will be spent washing, gathering, folding and packing everything from shorts and swimsuits to jeans and jackets. Medicine, first aid, snacks, games, electronics chargers, sunscreen, aloe.....yikes.

Should you visit our home this week, you will notice that the dining room is the official "staging area."  As I buy or come across something that needs to go, it goes to the dining table!

We use our dining table to dine upon probably 4 times a year.  The rest of the year it is a staging area/laundry folding table.  We're versatile like that.

Who knows what this road trip will bring.  Last year's vacations included all us Texans rolling up in the Hamptons for a week and a centipede caused paramedic visit from Honolulu FD.  Heaven only knows what brand of crazy  precious family memories this trip will bring.

So, for those of you interested in following along at home...buckle up.  The crazy train leaves at 8:00 a.m. next Saturday morning.

Blessings,
Leslie
