Day 8: The Black Hills

Another great day in the Black Hills!  This morning we had reservations to take the 1880 train from Hill City to Keystone and back.  It was a beautiful old train! We sat inside, but with the windows open....
After our relaxing train ride, we went to  Bear Country USA, a drive thru wildlife park.  This was a huge hit with everyone!

First we saw moose!
Then Big Horn Sheep....
 Reindeer!!
And tons and tons of black bears....

 And buffalo!
All the animals were right there by the car.  In fact there were so many black bears that traffic kept backing up because they were crossing the road in front of the cars.  The kids LOVED it!

My men can make fire!
After the train and the "drive-thru zoo" they all begged to go back to the cabin and play.  There were tons of big boulders for them to climb on behind the cabin and that evening we had a campfire...

Smores!

Burnt marshmallow.  Sad face!

Mrs. Tammie would be proud!

Mandy danced about the campfire with this
stick hollering the beginning of the Lion King!
Tomorrow we leave the Black Hills and head on to Montana!

Blessings from the Black Hills,
Leslie
