We were greeted as we got on the subway this morning by a group of Mennonites who serenaded us with some hymns and a sermon. We took the train to Greenwich Village to the NYPD FDNY Firestore. On the walk we passed this classic old fire station!!
I love how they are right on the street and a part of the neighborhood. After the firestore we took the subway to the WTC site.
We spent awhile in downtown, had lunch and headed back to Chinatown to buy more purses!! The guys really didn't want to wander around in the massive crowd, so they went a few blocks over to Little Italy and found themselves a bar to hang out in. As it turns out, the bar was featured in several episodes of Sex in The City and just happened to be on the official Sex in The City tour! Here is a picture of Jason posing with the official Sex in the City tour T-shirt!
After we finished on Canal Street we met the guys at the bar where Cathy and I had Carrie Bradshaw Cosmopolitans. Delicious!!
I had to take the picture below to show you all what Jason and Scott schlepped around all day! We just kept filling their backpacks until we simply couldn't fit anything else in them!
Scott and I are resting at the hotel while Jason and Cathy go see the Empire State Building and then we're going to grab a bite to eat. Tomorrow we have tickets to the Statue of Liberty!!Blessings,
