The road to Cape Cod...

Woke up Sunday morning in Mystic,CT and went to breakfast at the cutest little local joint called A Place In Time. The best coffee I've had since we left home.

After breakfast we went down to the Mystic Seaport and looked at the reproductions of several old ships and then hit the road to Providence, RI.

In Providence, we went by Brown University, the State Capitol building and had frozen yogurt!

Our next stop was Newport, RI.  Here we got out and spent a little time checking out the area near the water. Just the usual tourist shops and restaurants.

Scott hadn't told us anything about the hotel we were staying at in Cape Cod, so we were all shocked when we pulled up...

It is this beautiful old-worldly hotel.  Very Great Gatsby!

Today the kids played at the pool and the beach.  We did some last minute shopping.  We also had to try out a place called Mandy's Cape Creamery!  27 flavors of soft serve ice cream!  The owner, Mandy, was there and was beyond sweet to Mandy...

Tomorrow we will head back into Boston for our flight home.  Happy and sad about that.  Missing our friends, but sooo not ready to go back to work!
