We had quite the fun weekend at our house. Uncle Nick came in on Friday! There is always much excitement and anticipation from the kids when he's expected! Mandy woke up asking if he was here yet! There is something special between those two:). Nick recently aquired a suit and wanted to go to dinner at a restaurant that required a coat and tie, so we went to Lawry's for dinner Friday night. Christie joined us as well and we all had a great time. 
Uncle Nick is exciting, but this time most of the excitement was over his new dog Oden. Oden is a 160 pound Great Dane with one brown eye and one blue eye. 
An army buddy of Nick's was deploying to Iraq and you can't take your dog, so Nick adopted Oden. He is just about the coolest dog ever. I'm usually not a big(as in large, I don't do cats!) dog person, but after having Oden for the weekend I'm a changed woman. He is the sweetest, most affectionate dog! Nick taught Thomas how to shine a laser pointer on the ground and Oden will chase after it....like a 160 pound cat he pounces on it!! He's taller than Mandy, but soooo gentle. He is crazy about Nick and sits at the back door and whines until he comes back. However, Nick started tickling and rough-housing with Grace and Oden jumped up between them and bit down on Nick's shirt to drag him away from her! The kids loved him. Even Thomas wanted Oden to stay with us and Thomas usually is not fond of dogs. Of course, Oden doesn't act like a dog!

Grace always feels the need to dress like this when Uncle Nick is around!
Anyway, we had a great weekend with Nick and we are all so excited that he's coming back next weekend to help Papaw put up campaign yard signs!

That book is pretty interesting IMO, like I said I could never go vegan but I'm going to try out some of the stuff. I hate exercise, hate it. I'm already dreading tomorrow, if it weren't for the eye candy I wouldn't show up. ;)
